Teresa Brown is a writer, playwright, and humourist from Baden, Ontario.  Her work has been published in Canadian print magazines, history journals, newspapers, and has been produced on radio and in theatre.  She's won a number of writing awards for fiction, too.  

And yet, you still haven't heard of her.

News:

 

The Elmira Theatre Company presents Fire Red Blood (retitled as The Fire Inside for this production), a drama about volunteer firefighters in small-town Ontario.  Shows in April and May of 2009.  Phone or e-mail The Centre in the Square for tickets:  519-578-1570.
 
 
South Simcoe Theatre presented Fire Red Blood as one of four
presentations in Four Play, a series of staged readings.  These fantastic  people used FRB to help generate interest in raising money for a local firefighter suffering from cancer.  Many thanks to SST for a terrific job!

Teresa is currently working on a new play: 

 

The Last Gang and the Robbery of the Century

 

is scheduled for release in Spring 2009. 

 

Set in the 1950s, this heist/comedy touches on important questions about

 

how families deal with a changing world ... and how they deal with

 

changes that are closer to home.
